If you're flying with Emirates to Dubai and need a visa, simply call the Emirates reservations office at least ten days before your flight and for a small fee, Emirates will arrange an electronic visa for you*.

Unaccompanied Young Passengers
Unaccompanied Minor (UM): All children between the ages of 5 and 11 years (inclusive) travelling alone on firm tickets are considered to be Unaccompanied Minors (UM). Highly trained staff will take care of them from the point of check-in, through to airport formalities on departure and arrival, until they are handed over to their parents/custodians at their final destination. Please note that the adult fare must be purchased in order to use this service.
Young Passenger (YP): All children between the age of 12 and 15 years (i.e., up to their 16th birthday) and travelling alone, whose parents/guardians have specifically requested Emirates for UM service for their wards. Please note that the adult fare must be purchased in order to use this service.
